The SHOW with Scott Gustafson

What a great night we had. Some of our young art students came to see and talk to a real artist. For those of you who have not met Scott, he is very gracious and spent time with each fan.

At the end of the show I received a call from a Grandmother of one of Scott's fans. She mentioned that her grandson has come to the show, met Scott, then went home and told his grandmother he had seen a " REAL ARTIST". She thanked us for having Scott, and thanked him for being so nice to a young boy.

Here Scott is explaining his creative process to a young family. It is fascinating to hear the details of creating these wonderful paintings.

The young girl was quite the artist herself. She and I drew a picture of a garden (complete with worms) while her parents decided on which books to purchase.

Scott did sign some extra books which we have in the Repartee Gallery.

Davis High with Scott Gustafson

Scott started his day with us in Utah at Davis High School. He gave a lecture accompanied with slides of the evolution of his career.

He was the guest of Mr. Atkin and had another class join the lecture.

The visit to the High School was coordinated by Brent Severe, Executive Director of the Davis Education Foundation.

In this picture Scott ( on the left) and Brent show their excitement and enthusiasm for returning to work with students, and I'm sure having me take their picture.

Scott was at the High School for a little over an hour. We hope the students enjoyed seeing the samples of his art and learning a little about the time and dedication needed to produce high quality art.

Scott Gustafson AT DAVIS HIGH - This Friday

I know I have gone back and forth on this information, but Davis High School is the location where Scott Gustafson will be talking to a combined group of Art classes. He will be there for the class which starts at 12:50pm.

Scott is well known as an illustrator and this will be a great opportunity for students of art to ask questions of a successful artist.

Later that evening he will be at Repartee Art Gallery to sign books, prints, and limited edition prints. We will also have a few originals here in the gallery.

The Gallery show starts at 6pm and goes until 8pm. We hope to see you then.
