Joseph Smith

"Ask Of God" by Sandra B. Rast is a wonderful painting of Joseph Smith praying in a grove of trees. Mormons refer to this grove as the Sacred Grove.

For those who have had the opportunity to go to New York and visit this area, it is still a peaceful and special experience.

"Three Graces" by Cassandra Barney

Cassandra has released this wonderful new Giclee Limited Edition Canvas with an edition size of only 75!

It was actually released in November but we were paying so much attention to her Ex Voto collection that I think I forgot to mention it.

This trio of figures represents Faith, Hope and Charity. Faith has a sprout rising up from her heart like the line in a song, “Faith is like a little seed, if planted, it will grow.” In the center, Pandora’s box rests at Hope’s feet. If you remember the story, after evil was released from the box all that remained inside was hope. Lastly, Charity stands to the right, apron on and ready to get to work.

This is now available at our gallery.

We'd love to hear from you. 801-296-0718

Joseph Smith by Liz Lemon Swindle

There are many pictures of Joseph Smith which cause me to pause and respect the dedication of the man Joseph Smith, but none bring to my mind the sacrifice and trials he endured like this picture in Liberty Jail.

Here again Liz Lemon Swindle brings Joseph's experience to life for us.

This picture represents a calmer time when Joseph was free to share the teachings in the scriptures and in the translated Book of Mormon. Here he appears to be on his way to a Church Meeting dressed in his finer clothes.

The Art of Joni Flint

Repartee Gallery is excited to have Utah Artist Joni Flint offering some of her work here in the Bountiful Gallery.

Joni has been painting since she was 6 (that has been a while) and has a love of animals which comes through in her art. She owns more than a few horses and has spent a lot of time around rodeo events.

Joni has participated in State Fair and Cutting Horse activities where her observations are now becoming the object of her paintings

I love these cows.

The colors in this next painting are more vivid in person. Cowboys for years have experienced the discomfort of the elements as they do their job. I've often thought being a Cowboy or Cowgirl would be relaxing and peaceful.

Here I'm reminded of how hard and uncomfortable it really would be.

I hope you come in to see other works of Joni's now available at the Bountiful location.
