ALMOST CHRISTMAS

Well, believe it or not Christmas is almost here. We still have some wonderful selections and options for Christmas gifts of all price ranges. Our fast selling DVD is "O Holy Night" is in stock. At $4.95 it is a great neighbor gift.

As we approach Christmas I am reminded of how grateful I am for our Bountiful location and for the people who helped us build it and move this fall. We have wonderful neighbors in 5 Guys and MIKADO, wonderful customers and really talented people to work with.

SCOTT GUSTAFSON VISIT

What a wonderful day. Today Scott Gustafson visited with students at Woods Cross High School. He talked to students in Lester Lee's class and answered their questions. He then went to speak to teachers at the district. He ended the day at a signing at the Repartee Bountiful Gallery.

Scott has been very gracious to spend time in the community. It was a great day and we thank him for coming to UTAH. We appreciate his visit.

What a wonderful turnout this morning for our final day of ART-Toberfest 2009. We have seen some wonderful budding artists. Where have we been?

Whew..it's been a long month of building our new store but we are finally in! Come stop in and see us. This past month we had our first Adult Art Adventure with local artist Diane Turner. One student returned saying it was one of the best days of her life. The day started with rain in the forecast but it turned out to be a beautiful day. For those of you not aware, our day adventures start about 8:30 am and you paint for the morning with a local artist. It is $95 and includes lunch. The next one coming up will be in Oct. 20th with Rebecca Hartvigsen. The class lasts until 3:00 The last one scheduled is in November, on Tuesdays for 3 consecutive weeks with Liz Lemon Swindle. There are only two spots left for that class which will be $250.

Gallery Stroll with Jamie Wilson and Geri Jensen

If you weren't here Friday Night you missed out. We were delighted to have two wonderful artists at the same time in the Gallery! Jami painted a darling rooster and completed a second landscape which was the view from her back yard. Geri was working all night on an intricate Indian dancer. We appreciate them sharing their talent with us for the evening.

MOVING SALE

We are moving to a new location just 1 building north of our current gallery. It has been quite an undertaking. To celebrate, we are having a moving sale. Everything in the gallery is 20% off from today until the day we move...probably the 27th of August. Hope to see you soon.

Gallery Stroll Tonight 6-9pm

Come meet Lester Lee tonight. We hold a Gallery Stroll every Friday evening 6pm to 9pm with a local artist. Come support us.

July 10: Karen McKay

The gallery stroll this Friday features local artist Karen McKay. Karen paints enchanting oil landscapes, using rich colors and highlights to capture the world on her canvas. She will have her current project here at the Bountiful gallery and will be painting live all evening. Come in anytime from 6 to 9 p.m. for a chance to watch her in action and find out more about her work!

Our other art displays and custom framing will still be available during this time.

Kids Art Camp in August

Looking for a way to let your kids explore art without fingerpainting your floors? Our Fort Union gallery is hosting an art camp for kids ages 8 to 14. The camp is five afternoons of instruction and hands-on learning, August 3rd to the 7th (Monday through Friday) from 1-4 p.m. Students will learn about techniques used by O'Keeffe, Chagall, Gauguin and more as they work with watercolors, oil pastels, and even ceramics! The class fee is just $150, with discounts for families with more than one child. It includes all teaching and materials costs for the week. Handcart Days

The Bountiful Handcart Days arts and crafts exhibit is displaying entries from all kinds of artists this month. Liz Lemon Swindle is standing here with Mayor Joe Johnson next to her original piece "Race to the Fence".
The exhibit is open at the Bountiful/Davis Art Center (BDAC) until July 24th.

Adult Art Day Camp $95

This is the perfect chance to take some time for yourself and enjoy the day painting with a local Utah Artist. Class is open to all levels of experience. Each day camp is limited to 15 budding artists.

8:30 am - Meet at Repartee Gallery
8:45 am - Open Air painting - weather permitting
11:30 am - Lunch at the Sego Lilly Cafe
12:30 am - Resume painting
3:30 pm - The day of painting concludes

Friday Night Gallery Strolls

In an effort to support local Utah Artists we have been sponsoring a Gallery Stroll just about every Friday. They start at 6:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm. We will not be having one over the 4th of July weekend, but stop by on July 10th.
